Research interests

Bacterial diseases remain a great threat, especially as antibiotic resistance increases. Studying the mechanisms of virulence and antibiotic resistance is crucial to understand and fight against pathogenic bacteria. We combine genetic, transcriptomic and proteomic approaches to investigate the regulations of virulence and antibiotic resistance in a common nosocomial pathogen, Acinetobacter baumannii. We also exploit new bacteriophages for the development of useful phage-related bactericidal weapons against multi-drug resistant A. baumannii.
